Updating After Sanctuary to 0.3
I’ve updated After Sanctuary, my hopeful post-apocalypse high-fantasy roleplaying game to version 0.3. This version adds rules for handling “threats” (e.g. monsters, traps, environmental dangers) in a way I haven’t seen attempted in a PbtA game before, particularly in how it deals with squads or swarms of monsters. The approach here borrows some tricks from Anima Prime, intended to make running fights with lots of opponents much easier on the GM. Eight new playbooks have also been added (bringing the available playbooks roughly in line with the “disciplines” available in Earthdawn). Some of these playbooks required writing down the rough ideas about crafting, magical elements, and tiered magic items that have only been in my head until now.
